Hereafter, The Bike Rental Company will be reference as The BRC.

These are the general conditions for renting bicycles at The BRC.

We require a full payment in order to confirm your reservation.

A security deposit will be required for all bike rentals (please check our Rates page for security deposit amounts)

Payments are refundable provided that notice of cancellation is received 10 days prior to the start of the rental period. There is no refund of payments for bookings made less than 10 days prior to the start of the rental period.

All delivery fees displayed and billed on website are subject to approval by The BRC. Should the delivery address provided while booking not correspond with the selected delivery fee, The BRC reserves the right to issue a new rental quote corresponding to the correct delivery fee.

The equipment must be returned by the client to the location agreed with The BRC and confirmed in the client’s reservation. The duration of this rental is detailed in the client’s reservation. The term “equipment” in this contract refers to the rented object and accessories.

Return of equipment must be made on or before the “Rental End Date and Time” detailed in the reservation. If the client does not return the equipment on time, an additional rental day will be charged at the current rental rates. There is absolutely no refund in case of early return.

Our bike rental service is aimed at people aged over 18. Minors between the ages of 16 and 18 may enjoy the service with the express and responsible authorization of one of their parents or legal guardians. All individuals under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

All bikes come with :

  • a spare inner tube
  • tire levers
  • multi-tool
  • puncture repair kit
  • a pump

We do not charge for the use of the replacement inner tube or CO2 canisters in case of a puncture. Any other item not returned will be charged €20.00 per item.

The client declares that he/she has checked the condition of the equipment and found it in good condition when signing this document.

The rented equipment must be returned by the client to The BRC in the same condition in which it was delivered to the client, with the exception of dirt from daily and normal use. In case of breakage or total or partial damage to the equipment at the time of return, the client must pay the price corresponding to the refurbish or repair of the equipment at the entire discretion of The BRC.

Clients can opt for “damages insurance” in their contract, with a rate agreed upon and offered by The BRC in each reservation. We do not offer any “Theft insurance” and client remains fully responsible and will be required to pay a fee equivalent to the replacement cost of the bike (amount set at the entire discretion of The BRC). In the case of theft, the client is also responsible for reporting the theft to the local authorities.

The client must take care of the rented equipment and take all necessary precautions to protect the equipment and accessories from damage, loss or theft. In the event that any of the situations mentioned above take place during the rental period, the client assumes all repair or replacement costs that correspond to the value considered by The BRC.

At the end of the rental period, The BRC’s staff will determine the conditions of the rented equipment and, if necessary, will evaluate the losses or damages caused (excluding reasonable wear and tear or dirt from use) and the expenses for damages, losses will be debited from the credit card placed as guarantee.

The client must take care of all rented equipment. Under no circumstances should bikes be left unattended and locks are available upon request.

The client declares to be in perfect health and to have the necessary health/ travel insurance in place to permit the partaking in cycling activities in France and Europe.

A client who rents more than one bicycle declares that all members of their group are in perfect health and have the necessary health/ travel insurance in place to permit the partaking in cycling activities in France and Europe.

The rental does not include insurance for personal and/or third-party injuries, therefore the client is responsible for all material or personal injuries that the client may incur in or undergo.

Once the client rents and makes full or partial payment, this payment will be deemed as the client’s acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

The client and his or her companions declare that they have read and understood the terms and conditions of The BRC.

The data provided by the client will be used exclusively for the correct provision of the contracted service, being the client able, in accordance with the law, access, rectification, cancellation or opposition thereof, notifying The BRC by any means.

We offer an optional insurance in case of damages. The cost of such insurance is €75.00 per bike with a deductible excess of €500.00 so that all damages exceeding €500.00 are covered by the insurance. However, please note that in the event of theft you remain responsible and will be required to pay a fee equivalent to the replacement cost of the bike.

This contract is governed by the French Law.
