BOOKING AND RENTAL PROCESS
What do I need to rent a bike?
Please note that a valid credit card (Visa/Mastercard) is always required to rent a bike. Amex are not accepted.In addition, a security deposit will be required for all bike rentals (please check Rates for security deposit amounts.
How do I make a reservation?
In order to make a reservation, please click here. You can choose the rental period and see the stock available. Please note that it is only possible to make reservations for 1-day rental by email reservations@thebikerentalcompany.com or WhatsApp message. We require payment in full in order to secure your booking .
Can I cancel my booking?
Payments are refundable provided that notice of cancellation is received 10 days prior to the start of the rental period. There is no refund of payments for bookings made less than 10 days prior to the start of the rental period.
Can I make a change in a confirmed reservation?
Yes we can amend your booking (upon availability) if you have any change of plan at no extra cost.
How long in advance can I make a reservation?
Our inventory being limited, we highly recommend to book as soon as you know your travel dates to ensure availability. In order to make a reservation, click here. For last minute requests, please send us an email reservations@thebikerentalcompany.com or WhatsApp to (+33) 6 30 09 64 01.
In the case of unforeseen circumstances (i.e bike crash or stolen) , we reserve the right to replace the bike you’ve booked with another model with similar specifications or an upgrade. In any case, we will always update you in the case of any changes to your booking.
What size should I choose?
On “our premium bikes ” page, you will find a size chart so that you can select the suitable size. We are also happy to answer any questions that you may have via email reservations@thebikerentalcompany.com
RENTAL CONDITIONS
How does the rental duration work?
Our rental system is based on calendar days (not by 24h hours time slots).
What is the minimum rental duration?
The minimum online rental booking during high season (May-September) is 3 days. You can rent less than 3 days during low season and/or if you book a minimum of 5 bikes.
Do you offer a delivery and collection service?
We operate exclusively on a delivery basis. Therefore we require an accurate delivery address and time as well as a phone number at the time of booking in order to make drop off and pick up as smooth as possible. You can also return the bike at a different location if convenient.
Can I rent a bike for a sportive or triathlon ?
We offer special rental packages (flat rates) on selected events but you can can also contact us for any other race that could be of interest for you.
Do you offer insurance for the bikes?
We offer an optional insurance in case of damages. The cost of such insurance is €75.00 per bike with a deductible excess of €500.00 so that all damages exceeding €500.00 are covered by the insurance. However, please note that in the event of theft you remain responsible and will be required to pay a fee equivalent to the replacement cost of the bike.
Do you offer gravel bikes?
We will potentially be expanding our fleet to include gravel bikes in the future. Stay tuned, more info coming soon !
RENTAL EQUIPMENT
Does my rental bike include a lock?
We can supply locks on request and we strongly recommend their use if you leave bikes unattended.
What equipment does my bike come with?
We provide a full repair kit (air pump, two tyre levers and spare inner tube) and 2 bottle cages on all our bikes. Speedometers are not provided but Garmin/Wahoo mounts can be Installed on request.
Can I rent helmet, pedals or any other accessories?
Helmets and pedals (Shimano SPD, Shimano SPD-SL or Look Keo) are complimentary. If you bring your own pedals our staff can install them on the bike(s) for you.

How can I find some routes for bicycles?

Do you sell second-hand bicycles after the season?
We normally renew our fleet every 2 to 3 years. Bikes sold are fully serviced before being shipped . Feel free to reach out for more information.
